Utkal alumina project: Land acquisition and resettlement in Orissa

Commissioned by Norsk Hydro, a prospective joint venture partner in the project, CMI prepared a background study on resettlement and rehabilitation issues and policies relevant to the project. The study looked at the proposed resettlement policy for the project in the light of international standards (e.g., World Bank), Indian experiences and international private sector standards.
