    This report, commissioned by the Southern Africa trust, seeks to present and analyse policies and prasctices in donor support to civil society in Southern Africa. The study  is an update of the 2007 report "Aid Effectiveness: Trends and Impacts of Changing Policies and Shifting Financial Flows to Civil Society Organisations in Southern Africa".  The new report provides focus on current trends in light of recent changes in global aid policies and the financial and economic recession. The Paris Declaration and the Accra Agenda on aid effectiveness is an important point of departure for the analysis.
