Agreement of co-operation between SoG, University of Western Cape and CMI

The Namibian Economic Policy Research Unit (NEPRU), the Social Sciences Division of the Multidisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Namibia (SSD/UNAM) and CMI entered an Agreement of Cooperation in 1996. The Agreement's principle objectives are i) to promote the development of professional competence in the fields of development and economic policy research; ii) to improve the quality of library services and skills at the three institutions; and iii) to generate and disseminate reputable research through both academic and applied publications on topics of national and regional significance. Since then, organisational development in the areas of project management, general management and information technology has also been included. The Agreement has been funded by NORAD and is currently (2000-2001) in its third and last phase.
