Integrating Armed Groups in Peace Processes: Afghanistan

To what extent are former commanders and combattants embedded in local structures and networks, and to what extent might these influence decisions to disarme and disengage from the armed conflict? This presentation provide initial findings from a joint reserach project between CMI/PRIO and the Afghan based Cooperation for Peace and Unity (CPAU).
