Recognizing the need to reign-in unsustainable patterns of consumption and production on a world scale, SDG 12 and its eleven targets address a collection of global challenges, from the management of natural resources, to food consumption, waste recyling, and fossil fuel subsidies. As such, it covers several corruption-prone sectors, commodities, trades, and services. This presentation reviewed the uneven progress towards SDG 12 targets around the world, explaining this, in part, with reference to historic and contemporary corrupt practices.
