Economist focusing on causes and consequences of inequality between groups based on different identities such as caste, gender, or ethnicity.

Ankush’s primary research agenda concerns understanding the factors driving inequality between groups based on different natural identities. Ankush uses various methods as an experimental economist, including lab experiments, field experiments, lab-in-the-field experiments, and theoretical modeling. Ankush is also a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Economics at the University of Konstanz and a principal investigator at the Inclusion Economics India Centre (formerly Evidence for Policy Design). Before joining CMI, Ankush was an assistant professor of economics at the Department of Economics and Business Economics at Radboud University. he earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Bologna and was a visiting doctoral researcher at New York University.
