Political scientist specialising in governance and anticorruption, with a particular focus on the role of informal institutions
Dr. David Jackson explores how an understanding of social and political conditions can lead to anti-corruption interventions that are better suited to context. At U4, he takes the thematic lead on fragile and conflict-affected states, social norms and Ukraine reconstruction. He is the author of various book chapters and journal articles on governance issues and holds degrees from Oxford University, the Hertie School of Governance, and the Freie Universität Berlin. David has worked as an analyst and consultant to various international organisations and NGOs, including the World Health Organization, Kosovo Local Government Initiative, Transparency International and Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation.
