Jens Philip Magnus

A master's student focusing on political economy, governance, social policy and welfare

Jens is currently pursuing his master's degree in Comparative Politics at the University of Bergen (UiB). His main topics of interest include political economy, governance, social policy, and welfare. Alongside his studies, he works as a teaching assistant at UiB.

His master's thesis will concern the political logic behind cash transfer programs in the Global South. He aims to qualitatively explore whether there is a common ideological rationale across different cases in the region, particularly by states on the political left.
