Katharina Maria Sewening

Head of Projects with a focus on project development and support for RCN, ERC and Horizon Europe projects as well as commissioned work

Katharina is driven by a passion for monitoring the ever-changing funding landscape and ensuring high-quality project support at CMI.

Professionally, her background includes working in project management and teaching for education projects in Germany, Russia, and Belarus. She has served as a Project Manager for several EU-funded projects related to the Common Agricultural Policy, the EU's Migration Policy, and the EU's political system, as well as for commissioned projects.

Katharina holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from Georg-August-University in Göttingen and a Master's degree in Eastern European History from the same University, with a semester abroad at the Russian State University for the Humanities. She is fluent in German, English, and Norwegian, and conversational in Russian.
