Tax Compliance, VAT Revenues and Business Development in Tanzania
Economist studying taxation and voting in developing contexts
Osama is a PhD student at the Norwegian School of Economics. His most recent project, an online experiment, studies the impact of voting on citizen's morality. Osama is also working on a project with the Tanzania Revenue Authority, along with other CMI researchers, to formalize parts of the economy. In a nutshell, he aspires to use development and behavioral economics to increase the efficacy of public policy in emerging economies.
