The primary aim of the co-operation programme between CMI and the Southern and Eastern African Policy Research Network (SEAPREN) is to build a strong regional policy research network through the production of policy relevant studies and institutional support. The co-operation programme comprises two key elements: 1. Joint research focusing on budgetary processes and economic governance, poverty and regional integration; and 2. Institutional Co-operation, which will comprise sub categories: Improvement of network communication; Support to promotion/PR for SEAPREN towards donors and the international community; improvement of institutional efficiency in the SEAPREN member institutes; and exchange of personnel. The SEAPREN Member institutes are: Botswana Institute for Dev.Policy Analysis (BIDPA); Development Policy research Unit (DPRU); Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC); Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF); The Inst. of Economic and Soc. Research (INESOR); The Namibian Econ. Policy Research Unit (NEPRU); Institute of Policy Analysis and Research (IPAR)
