Poverty Monitoring and Evaluation in Angola

The main purpose of this project is to support the newly established Poverty Research Programme at UCAN/CEIC to carry out its own poverty research.

In February, the head of the research programme Dr. Nelson Pestana visited CMI.

While at CMI, Dr. Pestana will i) met researchers working on Angola and research topics of relevance to CEIC,

ii) completed a literature-review on poverty and poverty alleviation

iii) developed a compendium/guideline for poverty monitoring and evaluationtogether with CMI researchers  that will be used by CEIC and its Poverty Research Programme and students at UCAN.
