Review of Danish development research

CMI provided research support to a commission appointed by the Danish Minister of Development Cooperation to review all aspects of Danida support to development research. Prof. Gudmund Hernes, former Norwegian Minister of Education and current director at UNESCO's Institute for Educational Planning, chairs the commission. The commission delivered its recommendations to Danida in February 2001. CMI consultants Gunnar M. Sørbø and Johan Helland provided background materials, reviews and analyses to facilitate the work of the commission. CMI was also responsible for the sub-contracting of more detailed reviews of Danish development research by specialist teams within agriculture and natural resources, health and medical sciences and social sciences respectively
