Review of Organisation for Social Sciences in Eastern and Southern Africa (OSSREA)

It is an overall assessment that OSSREA continues to play an important role for the social sciences in the large sub-region. It is important to consolidate achievements but also to make changes and adjustments in response to the evolution taking place within OSSREA's environment. There are four sets of interrreelated issues that deserve particular attention:
(a) forging synergies and the role of national chapters;
(b) building and retaining capacity;
(c) sustainability; and
(d) the policy/research interface
