Bergen Seminar 2005: Unleashing Capacities to Achieve the MDGs
Timeframe: Apr 2005 - Jul 2005
Funder: UNDP
This is the 5th annual seminar in cooperation with UNDP focusing on critical themes for policy development in UNDP. The 2005 seminar took the call for increased aid flows to achive the Millennium Development Goals as a starting point for a discussion of capacity contraints to make effective use of such increased resources. The discussion centred around aid modalities and incentive effects of aid as well as capacity contraints at national and local level. The seminar report is available at http://www.undp.org/oslocentre/. CMI took part in the planning of the seminar, co-hosted the event at Solstrand, Bergen and facilitated three presentations.
