Women, Fun, and Women’s Way of Having Fun during the People’s Liberation Struggle
The presentation had a double focus. On the one hand, it reflected on artistic activism as a means of political mobilization among the women organized through the women’s organization the Antifascist Front of Women (Antifašistička fronta žena, AFŽ). It also dealt with the moments of the unscripted socialization and having fun among women, particularly singing, dancing, and daydreaming. Both aspects had a role to emphasize women’s engagements with the (re)conceptualizations of traditional notions of femininity through having fun.
